Model of the Month: November 2013 MACABRE LILITH

Name: Macabre Lilith
Age: 27
Location: Mandurah, Western Australia
Q. How did you get into modeling?
A. I came across this photographer (Hex Photography) who did more alternative styled shoots (which is quite scarce in WA) and decided to book a shoot with her to have some nice photos of myself. She told me that I was a natural and that I should look into becoming an Alternative Model.
Q. Who was your role model as a child and how did that help in being a model?
A. Elvira and Morticia Addams (1964–1966 series). They were different from the mainstream and since I always found it nearly impossible to adjust into norm society because I stood steadfast to being myself, dark beauty icons like these drew my interest towards the more darker side of life.

Q. Other than looking sexy in front of the camera, what else do you enjoy doing?
A. Spending time with my two children and husband. Fire twirling. Computer building. Playing MMORPG. Listening to black n death metal. Watching horror n gore movies. Watching Anime. Johnen Vasquez fan.
Q. If you were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?
A. Mortician. Computer Technician. Game Tester. Car Mechanic.

Q. How old were you when you found an interest in modeling and what made you want to start?
A. Never really had an interest in modelling until I did my photoshoot with Hex. Bit of a tomboy really. I was 24 when I commenced my first shoot that encouraged my career.
Q. Where is your favorite place to shop?
A. Mame Clothing, Wellington street, Perth CBD. They have the best clothes and shoes... Again, from a tomboy perspective, I despise shoe and clothes shopping... But I can spend hours in Mame Clothing. Usually never leaving without buying something.

Q. What is your favorite beauty product?
A. Maybelline and Paintbox... Maybelline have the best eyeliner (most other brands seem to run down my face to make me look like I haven't slept in a week)... Paintbox have some pretty amazing colours (even if the purple somehow transformed into pink in my hair )
Q. What advice would you give to a young girl who wants to pursue a modeling career?
A. Go for it! Be confident of yourself! Everyone is gorgeous! Be proud to be yourself!... I had next to no self esteem before I started modelling. I thought I was a hideous troll. Since pursuing this aspiration, I have realized my self beauty and gained confidence within myself.

Q. Where was your favorite shoot so far?
A. I can't say I have a biased favourite. Most of my photoshoots have been equally awesome in their own way. I've met nice people, made some friends, received makeup and modelling advice and had heaps of fun
Q. What you like to accomplish as a model?
A. To show the world what is inside my head through the artworks created by each collaboration I do. Majority of society have a very shallow concept of the alternative realm. One which scares them and deters them. Therefore never discovering the majestical beauties of the dark side that do indeed lie within. I would like to think that with my alternative style that I bring in front of the camera, I display that alternative are just the norm in many ways. We can be serious, funny, scary, formal, etc... We dress different, we act different, our music is different. But that's what the world is all about. Being different. Having variety... I am always judged for how I look, the interests I possess, how I am as a person... Through my modelling, I hope to change (even just one person here and there) the minds of those who don't understand the alternative world. Accepting everyone as they are. Even if their interests do dwell in the darker concepts... To avoid further tragedies like the beautiful Sophie Lancaster incident...
